A train derailment in Yahk last night caused a partial closure of Highway 3.
CP Rail told Juice FM that the incident occurred just after 8:00pm.
A train derailed two cars, both upright, on a back track in Yahk.
There are no public safety issues and no injuries.

But Highway 3 was reduced to single lane alternating traffic.
CP immediately enacted emergency protocols and all safety precautions and measures are being taken as crews deal with the situation.
Local officials have been notified.
An investigation is underway.
