Nelson has received its consolation prize in the Air Miles Detour contest.
The grand prize was a free concert by Meghan Trainor.
That went to Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia but Nelson did get a guitar autographed by the pop star.
City council presented it this week to the L.V. Rogers music department.
