Crawford Bay cheetah case hits court

The couple accused in the Crawford Bay cheetah incident make their first court appearance today.

Earl Pfeifer and Carol Plato are in Creston Provincial Court this morning charged with possession of an alien species without a permit.

A cheetah alleged to have been theirs was spotted along Highway 3A in December 2015.

The BC Conservation Service tried to find it without luck.

The couple originally planned to bring two cheetahs to Kaslo from Ontario in 2013.
