The Regional District of Central Kootenay has removed anĀ evacuation alert for Johnsons Landing.
It was issued yesterday following what’s described as a small slide and debris flood.
However, the RDCK is asking you to remain vigilant and to stay aware of the condition of Gar Creek. Spring melt and coming rain could bring further debris down the creek channel, they said in a news release.
AĀ reception centre at the Argenta Community Hall has been closed as it did not appear to be needed.
In 2012, a slide at Johnsons Landing killed four people.
