A local representative has been appointed to a new body advocating for improved health care in rural communities.
East Shore RDCK director Garry Jackman will serve on the Regional Alliance for Rural Health.
Jackman says we can’t afford to have people continuing to move to urban centres to be closer to services.
He says we need to find ways to keep people healthy in their own communities.
