Lots of people seem interested in starting a co-op to grow outdoor marijuana in the Kootenays.
About 75 of them came to an organizing meeting last week in Taghum.
And local farmer Todd Veri says about 30 volunteered to sit on the co-op board.
Veri says they want to be ready to submit an application once marijuana is legalized.
It would see a network of farmers raising up to about a hectare of organic bud, with centrally managed distribution and sales.
