Infrastructure improvements to Nelson’s Baker Street over the next two or three years are not optional.
That from mayor Deb Kozak in responding to some who question the project’s necessity.
She says the street will be ripped up from one end to the other.
Kozak says it makes sense to look at cosmetic improvements at the same time.
That’s why the city commissioned the downtown urban design strategy that was received last week.
