The 20 hectare wildfire burning in a remote part of the mountains south of Harrop will not be tackled immediately by BC Wildfire crews.
They’ve identified the area as being unsafe for firefighters to operate in.
Fire Information Officer John Boivin says the plan is to allow the fire to burn down the mountain.
It is being monitored and although there is a lot of smoke the RDCK says there is no imminent threat to structures or communities.

The Harrop Creek fire was spotted late Thursday.
