Wildfire campers leaving area

Over 200 people who had to flee the Kettle River Provincial Park campground Thursday have been escorted back onto the property.

The RDKB’s Alan Stanley says it has been a huge relief for these tourists to be able to move on.

For locals who have lost their homes Stanley says red cross centres are beng set up.

He says while they have suffered great loss and inconvenience there is an extraordinary sense of resilience in the affected community.
