There is no uncertainty about the future of Nelson’s Cottonwood Market even though the shelters will soon be torn down by the city.
This from the West Kootenay eco society which runs the funky outdoor event at Cottonwood Falls Park.
Executive Director David Reid says the existing shelters aren’t appropriate, but there are other solutions.
Reid is encouraging the community to get involved.
He’s confident some sort of medium-term shelters will be in place for next market season starting in May.
