The second edition of the BC Epic 1000 cycle race gets underway tomorrow.
The unofficial venture takes competitors from Merritt to Fernie and will pass through our area.
Riders must stick to the course and are not allowed any outside assistance.
Lennard Pretorius, the organizer and inaugural winner, says it’s a massive physical challenge.
The route follows the Trans-Canada trail.
Last year Pretorius completed the thousand kilometres in just over 4 days !
