Audit finds fewer contaminants in Nelson recycling

Nelson residents are doing a better job of keeping contaminants out of their recycling, but there’s still room for improvement.

Public works manager Colin Innes says that’s based on an audit by Recycle BC in April.

About six per cent of the materials in the recycling shouldn’t have been there.

That’s down from nine per cent in previous audits, but the target is below three per cent.
