Kootenay Savings pleased with credit union tax benefits decision

Kootenay Savings is happy the new NDP government has kept its word on reinstating the credit union tax benefit.

President and CEO Brent Tremblay says a plan by the previous government to phase out small business tax rates for credit unions would have cost $500,000 this year.

Tremblay adds their grants program would have suffered had the tax increase been implemented.
