Nelson police are still investigating the disappearance of Darwin Greyeyes.
The 55-year-old First Nations man was last seen on June 4 at 9:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Anderson Street in Nelson. His family has not heard from him since and they’re very worried about him.
Greyeyes has brown collar length hair, brown eyes, tattoos on both forearms and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black t-shirt and brown hiking shoes.
Police say since the initial report they’ve learned that Greyeyes would likely have had a red and black backpack with him and may have been wearing a dark blue or black hoodie. Greyeyes is known to walk, hitchhike or use public transportation to travel.
Several tips from the public have been investigated but there have been no successful leads so far.
Police are asking outdoor enthusiasts are encouraged to keep an eye out for Greyeyes as he enjoyed hiking local trails.
Anyone who has seen or had contact with him since June 4 is asked to contact police.
