The BC Wildfire Service is planning to burn piles of wood debris in the Mount Buchanan area west of Kaslo.
They say it will happen this week if the weather conditions are favourable for quick smoke dissipation.
Smoke may be visible from Highways 31 and 31A.
It’s intended to reduce the risk of aggressive wildfires.
