Nelson at it’s Best has received a funding boost from the Columbia Basin Trust.
They’ve been granted $150,000 to go towards their poverty reduction initiative.
Consultant Valerie Warmington says this is a good step.
She says they’re focusing on three demographics.
She adds they’ll also target vulnerable youth with skills development and children living in poverty.
Nelson at it’s Best was formed in 2014 to better understand local poverty and take action against it.
