The Nelson Police Department are asking for the public’s help after a number of properties were spray-painted over the weekend.
According to Nelson Police it happened in the early morning of March 31 and included multiple vehicles, homes, a church and a school from Carbonate Street, through Mill Street and Ward Street in the Lower Uphill area of Nelson. Police say the type of graffiti was most concerning, as there have been reports of Swastikas, upside down crosses and offensive marks in the community.
Residents in the area are urged to check any home security video footage they may have and to contact the Nelson Police with any information.
