The Black Bear Review is a literary and art magazine published by writing and digital arts students at Selkirk College. They will be launching their fourth edition tomorrow at the Expressions Theatre Cafe in Nelson. Creative Writing Instructor at Selkirk College, Leesa Dean, says the magazine receives dozens of submissions from up-and-coming writers.
It’s not only students who can contribute work, but the general public as well.
Dean says there will be two sets of readers at tomorrow’s event, including the winners of the Kootenay Literary Competition, which Selkirk College co-sponsored.
The event starts at 7:30pm. Admission is by donation.
