Kootenay Lake levels are expected to peak this Thursday or Friday. Nelson Fire Chief Len McCharles says things are looking better than originally thought with a bit of cooler weather this week.
Chief McCharles says the prediction from Fortis BC is that lakes levels will rise another eight to ten inches which will have some impact to the sports fields and parking lot.
The City of Nelson Emergency Operations Centre is activated at a Level One.
