City secures grant for work to Touchstones Museum

The City of Nelson was successful in securing a grant to help maintain one of its heritage buildings.
$200,000 from the Columbia Basin Trust and Heritage BC will go towards work at the Touchstones Museum of Art and History. Chief Financial Officer Colin McClure says they plan to do the work next year.

McClure says the funds will definitely help tax payers, but there’s still more to go.

He says the work is very specialized.
