A big celebration this weekend in Nelson. With eight new works of art, live music and great food lined up, the International Mural Festival kicks off on Friday. Four additional works of art were also put up separate from the festival. Sidney Black with the Nelson and District Arts Council says it all starts with the opening ceremonies in the Hall Street Plaza.
She says there’s some other great events planned for the festival weekend.
Black says she’s hoping to see Nelson become more of a destination for arts and culture.
All the events are free of charge except for one happening at Spirit Bar.
