The Royal Canadian Legion, Nelson Branch has announced they are proceeding with the sale of the building to Malberry Holdings. The deal is subject to approval of BC/Yukon Command and successful negotiation of a lease.
The decision was made at a special meeting on December 2 where 96 eligible members turned out to vote. Only one member didn’t vote in favour of proceeding with the sale.
The deal includes the legion leasing the main floor and basement back from Malberry for a 20 year period. Malberry Holdings, principal, Greg Malpass was present at the meeting and outlined his plans for the future of the building to the membership.
