Nelson Downtown Parking Survey open for feedback

The City of Nelson is looking for your feedback to help develop a downtown parking strategy. A online survey is available until February 18. The results will be analyzed and presented to Council to plan the next steps. There will be more consultation later in 2019 to follow up on the ideas and feedback from the survey.

The goal is to make parking in the downtown more reliable and predictable. The City says there may not always be an available parking space right where you’d like, but the hope is that time can be saved if residents know where they can find parking.

Nelson has over 1,500 on-street parking stalls in the downtown core, over 190 in the parkade, plus over 1,300 privately-owned parking stalls.
