Three fires in Nelson’s Fairview area yesterday have caught the attention of the Nelson Police Department.
Assistant fire chief with Nelson Fire and Rescue Services, Michael Daloise, says their close proximity is unusual and officials are investigating.
“Three small fires in lower Fairview in a period of under 24 hours and all three at this time, because of the close proximity to each other and the timing of them, are being investigated as potentially suspicious fires.”
Daloise says two of the fires didn’t get going very well.
