WINLAW, B.C – RCMP say the deceased man found on an Appledale property in May was the victim of a homicide.
The update on the case is the first since the discovery this spring.
RCMP attended the property on May 20 and located the deceased man.
According to a news release issued a few days after the discovery, he was believed to be 59 years of age.
No further details on his identity have been released by RCMP who have remained tight-lipped since the finding.
RCMP now confirm the case has been taken over by the Southeast District Major Crimes Unit.
They say the case is believed to be an isolated incident.
