Police issue photo of missing Nakusp man

NAKUSP, B.C. – Police continue the search for 36-year old Nakusp man Christopher Sandford who was reported missing on Monday.

On Friday police released CCTV footage said to reflect Sandfords appearance during the time of his disappearance.
Nakusp RCMP says the 36-year-old man was last seen on Sunday, August 4 and was reported missing the day after.
According to a news release, Sandford had plans to travel to Kelowna from his Nakusp home, however, his vehicle was found abandoned in Fauquier on Monday with no trace of where he could have gone.
His family has not heard from him since, which is unusual.

“Extensive search in the area his vehicle was located has not been successful in locating him”, a news release issued Thursday read.

Christopher Sanford is described as about 6”, approximately 150-160 lbs, tall and very slim, brown eyes, shaved head, he has a full sleeve tattoo on his left arm He was last seen wearing camo pants and a black t-shirt and barefoot.
