Another honour for a Nelson man and his vision for food security.
Jon Steinman – the producer and writer of the radio and TV series Deconstructing Dinner – has won the Best of Canada award at the well-known entertainment lifestyle Taste Awards for TV, film and internet in the US.
He broke the news at Monday night’s inaugural council meeting after being recognized through the city of Nelson’s new Sustainability Leadership awards.
Steinman arrived in Nelson ten years ago and says he’s been inspired by the community to raise awareness about food sustainability.
He’s currently president of the Kootenay Co-op.
His radio show has been syndicated across public radio in North America.
