New Rural Advisory Council must be rural:area director

The Director of RDKB Area C wants to make sure the province’s new Rural Advisory Council is made up of individuals from rural B.C.

Christina Lake’s Grace McGregor thinks it’s a good idea the province is inviting any B.C resident to apply to participate on the Council.

McGregor – who also chairs the steering committee on the Rural BC project – wants to see members of the council represent the very small areas of this province.

The council will be made up of 10 to 18 members and will provide advice on ways to get greater capital to rural areas, develop business in those communities and move forward on a rural
