The landscape will change at a Rossland park later this year.
This after council approved the Wetlands Project at North Jubilee Park.
It will see three shallow ponds created to improve the eco system and embrace the permanently damp area.
Co-manager of the project Rachael Roussin says the holes require no linings or rocks.
The old basketball court will also be removed.
Roussin says they’ll reach out to community groups and schools to help plan what needs to be planted.
The work will done early fall.
