Multiple pollution charges for Teck

Teck Trail Operations has been charged with eight counts related to depositing damaging substances into the Columbia River.

Four separate incidents occurred between November 2013 and July last year.

They include elevated copper and chlorine levels and a spill of ammonia solution.

The company is responsible for self-reporting these incidents to the authorities.
