Pacific Coastal has grounded its Trail to Kelowna service only four months after it took off.
The decision comes after the airline warned in March the Sunday to Friday flights were not getting a sustainable amount of passengers.
Trail Mayor Mike Martin admits they don’t know why ridership was so low.
The service will end as of May 15th.
Trail will now partner with the Lower Columbia Initiatives Corporation to collect data on what travelers in the region want and need when flying out of the airport.
Pacific Coastal said prior to the launch a Trail to Kelowna route was the biggest request they had from local passengers.
