Tiny homes are needed and wanted in Nelson.
This from John Alton – a member of the city’s Housing Committee – who wants to see more done to get these tiny units happening.
Alton says for affordability and for the environmental they’re a good fit.
They range from about 100-square feet to 250-square feet and are hooked to city services. Alton would like to explore allowing some units on city-owned property knowing they can be easily moved if need be.
