Missing man found

A positive outcome to the near four day search for a missing Blewett man.
RCMP have released the following release.
***
Nelson RCMP are happy yo report that Joe Moyer has been located.  At approximately 2020 hours June 16th, Nelson Search and Rescue called advising that MOYER had been located and SAR and family who had also been searching, were with him.  The location of where MOYER was found was described as west of Copper Mountain Forrest Service Road in Blewett.    MOYER’s dog was also found with him.
This area was focussed on by Nelson SAR after the RCMP helicopter was called in to complete a second air search earlier in the day.  It was believed a sighting was made by Air Services so a decision was made to send in a ground search to follow up.  This lead was a result of friends finding a foot print in the 49 Creek area by the creek the previous night.
It was reported that MOYER had multiple cuts and scratches when he was found but was not suffering any  other injuries.  EHS attended the scene and helped transport MOYER out with SAR and he was taken to hospital.
The Nelson RCMP would like to thank all the people who worked tirelessly over  the past few days assisting with this search.  “The dedication of Nelson Search and Rescue, friends, and especially the family in working cooperatively to bring this to a successful conclusion was amazing!”-  Cpl. Stefani.  “As well our local media cannot be left out.  The speed and accuracy in getting our information out to the public speaks volumes to the  professionalism of our local outlets in supporting this community and they should be commended.”
Cpl. Michael Stefani
