Yet more public feedback for GF water meter mess

There is still no decision from Grand Forks council on how to move forward on the water meters.

About 70% of the devices are installed but council has decided to give the community yet more time to give input on what to do with those who refuse a meter and what an opt-out option might look like and cost residents.

About 250 homeowners are holding out.

Such is the political and legal mess around Grand Forks council that Julia Butler – who is being taken to court for conflict of interest on the meters – is still taking part in discussions.

But mayor Frank Konrad is recusing himself as the city’s legal team has previously advised that he may also be in conflict.
