A former MLA is reflecting on how MP Lyle Kristiansen helped him out as a newcomer to politics.
Kristiansen – who was voted in twice at the federal level from the West Kootenay – died last week aged 76.
Ed Conroy says Kristiansen really enjoyed the campaigning.
Kristiansen – who was from Nelson- was involved in the union movement his whole life and worked at the Nelson mill.
He was elected to Ottawa for the first time in 1980.
