Open fire restrictions return

The South East Fire Centre has announced a return to widespread outdoor burning restrictions as of Wednesday.

Only small camp fires will be allowed.

Any other open burning of waste, stubble or grass along with the use of fireworks and burning barrels are banned.

Some restrictions were lifted less than three weeks ago but the prohibitions are now back in place.

There’s a small chance of showers today and tomorrow with the possibility of lightning. Temperatures rise to 39 C for the weekend.
