Part of the new traffic flow in downtown Nelson has already got underway.
The Hall Street Corridor Project involves Cedar Street becoming one-way up the hill from Front Street to Vernon Street.
A new “One Way” sign is now in place at the intersection of Cedar and Vernon as some motorists have been discovering with surprise. We noticed some vehicles having to veer away from the road on noticing the new rules. We witnessed others who simply ignored the “Do Not Enter” sign.
The proper and nearest way down to Front Street is now via Ward or Hall Streets.
