Blueberry Creek school changes hands

Blueberry Creek Community School outside of Castlegar no longer belongs to the Kootenay Columbia School District.

The District finalized a deal this week that will sell the property to the society operating out of it.

District Chair Darrel Ganzert says to them it was an empty facility but the Blueberry Creek School Society is using it extremely well.

Ganzert says once they receive confirmation that the society has signed off on the deal they can disclose the terms and conditions of the sale.

The society previously asked the District to sell them the property for a nominal fee of $1.
