Kootenay Lake paddle underway

The big group paddle is underway down Kootenay Lake.

Over 150 people have signed up so far to be part of the 7-day adventure.

Nelson Kootenay Lake Tourism’s Dianna Ducs was speaking from her kayak on the northern part of the lake.

She says it’s a celebration and a way of highlighting what the lake offers this region …and it’s not only about the water.

The public can join the paddle at anytime.
