Follies in Rossland-Trail musical satire

A woman from Trail falls in love with a man from Rossland in the Gold Fever Follies’ latest production.

It features lyrics praising the Silver City’s attributes …

“Summer is Coming” is a local take on Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet with the conflicts between the two families replaced by historically accurate problems in the region.

Golden Follies President Lisa Henderson says playwright Brian Turner is very familiar with the tensions between the neighboring communities.

The play begins Tuesday at the Miner’s Hall in Rossland.
