“Bloom” club opens in Nelson

The first part of the major renovation to the old Savoy Hotel on Nelson’s Baker Street is revealed to the public tonight.

The new night club called Bloom is opening.

Owner Jimmy Bundschuh – who is heavily involved in the famous Shambhala Music Festival – says they’ve gone to town on the lighting and sound.


Other future renos to the Savoy include a 12-room hotel , a music lounge and a restaurant. Bundschuh says they’ve also ordered brew tanks and will be the first brew pub in Nelson.

The project is a key upgrade to what is seen as the neglected end of Baker Street
