Nelson water pressure fault

Nelson homeowners can make a claim for damages caused by a spike in water pressure recently.

City Manager Kevin Cormack says a mains pressure-reducing valve at one of their upper elevation stations had problems June 15th.

That caused a surge in water pressure that may have damaged pressure valves in homes.

There’s a claims procedure at city hall.

Cormack adds it would be a good idea for residents to check their water intake and see if there are any problems that may have been caused by the pressure spike.
