Wildfire crews are tackling a blaze about 5 km north of Midway in the Boundary.
No structures are immediately threatened at this time.
25 firefighters, 3 helicopters and an airtanker group are working on the incident. A water tender is also on site and a fire guard  is being established around the perimeter.
The BC Wildfire Service is thanking the public because a number of phone reports allowed the South East Fire Centre to respond to the fire quickly and efficiently.
