“Missing” couple found safe and sound

A couple who had been reported missing while driving from Penticton to Nelson Thursday have been reported safe and sound.

Family hadn’t heard from them since receiving a text and RCMP were set to despatch search and rescue teams along Highway 3 near Castlegar.

But it turns out the couple had made a detour from their destination and spent the night in a camp site, with no cell service to update their awaiting family.
