Mayor applauds community spirit after storm

It took a big collective effort for Castlegar to pull through following the upheaval of Monday night’s storm.

This from the mayor.

The massive tree damage across a wide area caused power outages for over two days mainly to the south of the city.

Lawrence Chernoff says people worked together to make it right.


Chernoff says emergency responders , city workers, residents and the big effort by Fortis BC helped the community get back on its feet.
