Wildfire smoke eases in region

A change in the weather over the southern interior is good news for the air quality in the Boundary.

The Ministry of Environment, in collaboration with the Interior Health Authority, has ended the Smoky Skies Advisory.

It was issued last week.

The weather system that is now moving through the southern interior has reduced the amount of wildfire smoke carried into the region, resulting in improved air quality.

These conditions are expected to continue over the next few days.
