Feds invest in local metallurgy centre

The federal government has invested $750,000 with the Kootenay Association of Science and Technology or KAST.

The money will be used to set up a facility in Glenmerry in Trail to help develop industrial applications from the metallurgical sector.

Here’s KAST Executive Director Erin Handy.

The facility will also have resources to help metals-based entrepreneurs turn their ideas into reality.
