Local zipline tourist attraction opens

A new tourist attraction is now open for business on Kootenay Lake near Kokanee Provincial Park.

Kokanee Mountain Zipline offers a plus 2-hour experience on six ziplines over the forest.

Owner-operator Jaye Manton says it’s exciting to be taking things to the action stage after planning and construction.

Family, friends and media were treated to a so-called “soft opening ” earlier this week.

Guest Bruce Hadden doesn’t like heights … but loved the experience.

Some lines are 300-feet off the ground.
