Woman missing after Hills house fire

A women is unaccounted for after a property fire north of New Denver.

Slocan Lake RCMP responded to a call of a structure fire on Purdy Road near the Hills area Sunday just after midnight.

Sergeant Darryl Little says crews arrived to find the house fully engulfed in flames.

Little says there is nothing at this time to indicate the fire is suspicious but they are very early in their investigation.

He says officials will be going back to the scene today to determine what may have caused the fire and search for any other evidence.
