Grand Forks needs tougher water restrictions:councillor

A Grand Forks city councillor – who wants tougher water restrictions – is reacting to the latest provincial announcement on the dry conditions.

That there is now a Level 3 drought rating for the area.

Colleen Ross – who is an organic farmer- is repeating her call for Grand Forks to move to Stage 2 – which is sprinkler use only once-a-week.

Angling is now banned in local rivers which are running low and the province is calling for voluntary water use reductions of 20% from all municipalities, agriculture and industry.
